Description
Our painting art project was inspired by Clifford Possum. He was an Australian painter. We also identified Australian animals. Then it was time to create. In our projects, we had lizards and kangaroos. We had the option to chose which animal we wanted, and I chose a lizard. We then cut up a brown paper bag for our background. Once that was done, it was time to glue your animal anywhere on the bag. Then, we got paint colors and started to paint. Instead of using a paint brush, we used Q-tips to paint. We would dot in whatever pattern we wanted. I decided to do three rows of each color and keep going until I hit the end of the bag. Once I was done, I initialed the artwork! 

Extension Activity 
An extension activity for this art project could be a research paper. Students could research Australian animals and write an informative paper about it. They could also create a presentation about the animal, and then create an art project based on that animal. Math could also be integrated. You could ask them to add a certain amount of dots onto the paper and work together as a class.

  Description This art project was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's 'Starry Night.' We learned about Vincent Van Gogh's life and art works throughout his career. We wrote down three things that we learned before we started our project. Then, we got to create a project that used his techniques! We all grabbed a piece of construction paper and covered it with tissue paper. Everyone got to choose the color scheme they wanted to use. Elements and Principles of Art

 Elements and Principles of Art Project During this activity, we went on a scavenger hunt to take 12 photos of the elements and principles of art. The elements and principles of art include: line, shape, texture, space, value, color, balance, movement, contrast, unity/variety, emphasis, and pattern. Once we got 12 photos, we got with a partner and created a presentation to use to teach our future students. We had to select a grade level and create definitions that are appropriate for that age group. Below are my top 5 favorite photos that I captured for this project.  Project Extension Students will be learning about patterns while also designing their own shirt. Students will get a plain white t-shirt and must try to think of as many patterns to put on the shirt as they can. My Footprint Introduction Project

Description      This is the first art project we completed in Art Methods class! The goal of this activity is to serve as an introduction about yourself to present to the class. The steps within this project include drawing an outline of your foot and cutting it out. Then covering the outline of the foot with individual interests and different ways to introduce yourself to your class. Three mediums had to be used and your name must be visible.      The picture of the kid jumping into the lake represents my love for being on the lake and being in the sun. Summer is my favorite season. The ice-cream above that is there to show my favorite dessert. Next to that is some greenery to represent nature and the enjoyment I have for outdoor activities.
